Wilson Gives First Interview Since Suicide Attempt

Troubled movie star Owen Wilson has given his first interview since his suicide attempt--to his longtime friend, director Wes Anderson.

The interview, to be posted online on Saturday at midnight, sees the actor talk candidly to the director of his latest film, The Darjeeling Limited, as part of the MySpace Artist on Artist series.

It will be Wilson's first public airing since he rushed to the hospital after slashing his wrists at his Santa Monica home two months ago.

At the time, the Wedding Crashers star asked for privacy with a statement saying, "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."

In September, at the Venice Film Festival, Anderson said that his friend was "doing well."

He added, "When he's ready, he's going to speak for himself much better than anyone else could. He has a very good way with words."

Wilson and Anderson have worked together on multiple projects, including Bottle Rocket and The Royal Tenenbaums, which they co-wrote, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
